Look and feel

The headphones can fold into quite a compact design, and at just over 250gm, are fairly light. The ear-foams are very well designed and provide very comfortable cushioning. However, I found that the headband was a bit tight on my ‘slightly larger than average’ head. I could manage, but I could definitely feel that I was wearing headphones.

In terms of looks, they are pretty typical in looks with a stylish edge to them. The right ear offers the USB-C port as well as controls for modes (ANC on, off, or ambient), volume control as well as Bluetooth connection. Microphone slots are visible on the outside of the earphones as well, which work to bring you superior ANC performance.

Setup

The setup is fairly basic and representative of most Bluetooth headphones. Turn it on, and if it is your first time, it will automatically go into pairing mode. Find it in your device settings, and you are good to go.

However, if you want to add a second device, note that this is turned off by default. So if you want to enable it, you will need to pair it first with something like an iPhone or Android device so you can access the headphones’ settings via the app and enable it. Then you can pair it with a second device such as a computer.

In my case, I had paired with the computer first, but then had to ‘reset’ by holding the +/- buttons for 5 seconds to reset device and move to phone.

Battery Life

Battery Life is fairly impressive on these. With up to 54 hours on ANC and 94 without, you can pretty much charge and forget.

However, if you are using with a computer, you can even use them while they are charging, as they pop up if plugged into the USB port of your computer. The ANC works in that mode as well, which was good to see.

Sound Quality

For your typical music and calls, they work really well. The isolation brings out the clarity and detail in music, which is always a really nice touch, especially for something this affordable. I have used these for music, watching videos as well as taking calls, and they have been reasonably perfect to the point that I am now permanently using these with my work computer.

ANC

The performance of the ANC is very good. I like how you move between modes and the ANC takes a gentle time to kick in. Really makes you notice it, something that I first noticed with the Apple AirPods Pro. Either way, they work really work in an office environment, and offer a great performance in public places and on public transport.

On top of this, just the cushioning on the ear phones provides enough noise isolation to make these a perfectly nice item to have on, even when off!
