vivo recently introduced itself to the European markets and launched its first European product line-up. Now, it has announced that all four products in the European portfolio will soon receive an update to the latest version of the Google Android operating system.
Android 11 was introduced by Google in September 2020 with exciting new features and innovations. It has strengthened data privacy and the variety of new features makes it anticipating for both users and enterprises.
Vivo has become one of the first few smartphone manufacturers, announced by Google, to offer the latest Android operating system update; this followed Google’s provision of the Android 11 Developer Preview version to third party developers in September. At the beginning of October, vivo launched smartphones with Android 11 in different global regions and made the updates available for devices which were already in the market.
Vivo has already shipped out the first wave of vivo European products which was led by the vivo X51 5G. However, this one had the Android 10 and was a different variant to the popular Funtouch OS that is available in the Asia-Pacific markets. This was developed following extensive research into the user habits and preferences of European consumers.
vivo has announced that the updates will start rolling out from the end of November. The first devices to receive updates will be the vivo X51 5G, with vivo Y70, Y20s and Y11s to follow later this year. The new updates will bring consumers better system experiences so get excited if you are planning on getting something from vivo’s European product line-up.
