Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) has unveiled its latest addition to the Huawei P smart series, the all-new Huawei P smart 2021. Renowned for combining stylish design and essential innovations at a great value, the newest addition to the Huawei P smart Series meets the needs of today’s young consumers. It is packed with a beautiful big display for immersive viewing, an enduring battery life that keeps up with busy lifestyles as well as a smarter camera that allows users to capture what they see effortlessly, making it stand out as photography, entertainment, and social companion.
Huawei’s P Smart 2021 weighs 206g and is 9.26mm thick. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It has a 6.67-inch FHD + display with centered perforation and a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified, has an aspect ratio of 20: 9, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3%.
It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 710A SoC paired with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage. And has a MicroSD slot for expansion up to 512GB. On the optics front, the new smartphone sports a quad rear camera setup. There is a 48 MP main sensor with night mode. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV. In addition, there is a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front is an 8MP selfie shooter. As mentioned above, the HUAWEI P Smart 2021 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. It is said to offer 23 hours of video playback.
Other niceties include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Where the Huawei P Smart 2021 will struggle is on the software front, as while it runs Android it does so without Google Mobile Services, like the majority of recent Huawei phones. That means no access to the Google Play app store (though Huawei has its own alternative), and no access to Google apps.
The Huawei P smart comes in three colour variations: crush green, blush gold, and midnight blue, and will be available from October 22.
