At CES 2020 Audio-Technica will be exhibiting its ATH-CKS5TW and its ATH-CK3TW truly wireless in-ear headphones, which eliminate all connecting wires for the ultimate in comfort and on-the-go listening convenience. Both models combine Audio-Technica’s 58 years of audio engineering expertise with compact, lightweight designs, long-lasting battery life, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology, and outstanding audio quality.
The ATH-CKS5TW and ATH-CK3TW will be on exhibit at CES 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 1, Booth 20648 (January 7 – 10, 2020). In 2018, Audio-Technica debuted its first true wireless model, the ATH-CKR7TW. Those earbuds lasted six hours on a charge and were priced at $249. This year, the company took things a step further with the ATH-CKS5TW ($169). Not only are they more affordable, but they offer more than double the battery life: 15 hours on the earbuds alone

The ATH-CKS5TW true wireless earbuds follow the design standards you’d expect from the wire-free category. Left and right earbuds sit in a pillbox-shaped charging case, snapping in magnetically. Charge the case (which has its own battery storage built-in), and it’ll also charge the earbuds housed within. After they’ve been paired once with your audio device, they’ll connect over Bluetooth automatically when removed from the case, and switch back off when placed back inside.
So what sets the ATH-CKS5TW apart? The two headline features here will be battery life and USB-C charging, the reversible fast-charging port remaining a relative rarity among true wireless earbuds. In terms of battery life, you get a lengthy 15 hours out of the fully-charged earbuds, with the case holding a further 30 hours for 45 hours total playback. That’s a very respectable amount of time.

The ATH-CK3TW allows a wider audience to “Explore and Connect” with a truly wireless audio experience. Its 5.8 mm drivers provide a powerful listening experience despite the headphones’ compact size, and smooth silicone ear tips ensure a comfortable fit along with outstanding isolation from outside noise. The ATH-CK3TW is compatible with aptX and SBC codecs.
Touch sensors for controlling audio, calls, and volume are located on each earbud. The headphones are compatible with Siri and Google Assistant for convenient and quick hands-free voice command activation.
The ATH-CK3TW offers up to six hours of battery life per charge, and the charging case provides an additional 24 hours. The headphones feature Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus, a special low-latency function that ensures that users can stream audio with no disruption and a stable connection. The ATH-CK3TW comes with XS, S, M, and L sized ear tips and will be available in black, white and blue.
