RIVA Audio have this week announced integration of Spotify Connect with their RIVA WAND (Wireless Audio Network Design) speaker series. Premium subscribers to Spotify can now choose songs or stations from the huge library available on Spotify on WAND speakers networked throughout their home.
The music will stream from the Internet, controlling the selection with the app, and transmit with a high quality signal using RIVA’s Trillium technology in speakers such as RIVA Arena and Riva Festival. It’s also possible to take phone calls without interrupting the music stream.
The RIVA Wand series is customisable and has a multi-room wireless system to delivery exceptional high-fidelity audio to each room of your home. It is flexible enough to play from any networked or local source. The series features the compact Arena and the full-range table-top Festival speakers.
Users can connect using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay or DLNA. It has an integrated Away Mode, is water resistant and has an optional battery pack. It combines with Spotify’s offline mode to provide the freedom to listen even when there’s no Wi-Fi.
The WAND series has already won numerous awards such as the CES 2017 Innovation Honoree Award, CTA’s CES 2017 Mark of Excellence Award and Residential System’s 2016 CEDIA Best of Show Award. It has won the Innovation & Tech Today’s Editor’s Choice Award too.
The WAND speaker series will be available in black with a titanium grill or white with a silver grill. The Arena’s RRP is £225 and the Festival’s RRP of £448. The Arena’s optional battery pack is available in both black and white and the RRP is £89.
