The all-new Amazon Fire TV Blaster!

Amazon Fire TV Blaster

Amazon has introduced an all-new Fire TV Blaster. It is an infrared (IR) companion device that extends hands-free voice control functionality to customers who are already using Echo to control their Fire TV device with Alexa. The device will start shipping from 11 December so you can stay on top of the festive films.

There are millions of people out there who are already enjoying the convenience of hands-free voice control with either a paired Fire TV and Echo device or on a Fire TV Cube.

Pairing Echo with the Fire TV will enable users to say things like “Alexa, play Stranger Things” or “Alexa, fast forward 20 minutes”. This allows users to add voice control ability to their compatible TV set, soundbar, and A/V receiver. It brings with it functions such as powering on or off your TV, changing the volume, or switching input by simply asking:

  • “Alexa, turn off the TV”
  • “Alexa, turn up the soundbar volume”
  • “Alexa, switch to HDMI 2”

Voice control has been the most natural innovation by technology for smart devices. It allows customers to interact with their electronics and develope a sense of belonging and control. Moreover, this device by amazon is an affordable and budget-friendly way of turning the Echo and Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K or Fire TV (3rd Gen) voice-enabled to control the living room set up.

More into it

Beyond expanding hands-free voice control capabilities, Fire TV Blaster simplifies your entertainment experience by eliminating the need to use multiple remotes to turn devices on or off, change inputs, control playback, adjust the volume, and more. Now you can just walk into your home and say “Alexa, play Jack Ryan on Fire TV”, and your compatible TV and sound system will power on and the show will start playing where you left off.

Availability and Pricing

Fire TV Blaster is available for pre-order at www.amazon.co.uk/firetvblaster for £34.99 and will begin shipping on 11th December. Customers can also pre-order a bundle consisting of Fire TV Stick 4K, Echo Dot (3rd Gen) and Fire TV Blaster for just £86.98 instead of £134.97– a saving of £47.99 against the recommended retail price.
