LG Electronics, more commonly known as LG has unveiled its latest ultra-light gram laptop lineup in the UK markets. The lineup includes the new LG gram 17 (model 17Z990). The world’s lightest 17-inches laptop received a 2019 CES Innovation Award when it was launched at the beginning of the year. It is not only the lightest 17-inches laptop but the gram 17 also rocks a massive battery that lasts up to 19.5 hours getting you through the day easily with power left by the end.
The gram 17 has changed the horizon for 17-inches laptop. LG added more power with all-around usability for the LG gram 17, staying true to their winning formula: balancing the technology and features users demand with a level of portability previously thought impossible for a laptop this size.
Features
The LG gram provides the support you need. It’s complete with speed and power provided by an 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor (i7); dual channel memory/dual channel SSD slots, 16GB RAM, and 512 GB SSD. Plus Windows 10 and an array of ports assure easier multitasking.
Combine a screen this big with Windows 10’s multiple desktops, and you’ll become a productivity maestro in no time. You’re able to see so much in split-screen and can focus on two things without having to squint or hunch over to get work done. Hopping between your desktops with a four-finger swipe is simple. The Gram 17 is not going to compete with top-tier laptops from Dell or Razer in terms of overall performance, but its U-series processor and a generous amount of RAM pack all the power you need for everyday tasks.
The LG gram 17 does not stop here. It incorporates a variety of features that bring more convenience to users’ lives. It has been equipped with Thunderbolt 3 which means users can charge devices, transfer files and display content via a single port. Moreover, It has transfer speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second, eight times faster than a conventional USB 3.0 connection. Meanwhile, the laptop’s Precision Glass Touchpad ensures responsive control and offers four-point touch recognition. A backlit keyboard with two brightness settings makes it possible to use the laptop in dim environments.
For immersive surround sound on the go, DTS Headphone X realistically simulates the 11.1 channel array found in movie theatres. Enhancing security and saving time, the accurate fingerprint reader enables users to power on and log in simultaneously. Lastly, a 72W battery allows for an incredible 19.5 hours of battery life.
“LG gram has evolved in accordance with what consumers have been asking for – super-light laptops that pair performance with optimum portability,” said Jang Ik-hwan, head of LG’s IT business division. “With beautiful displays, compelling design and enough power for productivity and play, the 2019 LG gram models deliver convenience on a whole new scale, bringing unprecedented value to the laptop experience.”
