Astell&Kern co-partnered with Jerry Harvey Audio, the foremost manufacturer of studio-quality-in-ear monitors, to assemble the new universal-fit earphones, Layla AION. These earphones are the third update to the Layla series, resembling their previous two products “Carbon Fiber Edition” and “Full Metal Jacket”.
The first Layla generation earphones were released in 2014 which were known as “holy grail”. Ever since the launch of the first Layla earphones every next generation has stunned the market due to its latest technology. The second update was a full Carbon Fiber earphones whilst the third update was full Titanium earphones, both being one of their kind.
The result of collaborating with Jerry Harvey, the earphones are claimed to be having the best sound and most advanced when paired with Astell&Kern’s high-resolution audio players. Each of these earpieces is made by combining hundreds of layers of resin-infused carbon fiber fabric. After the initial machining process and then the hand shaping process, Layla AION is precise, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and also has the benefit of being assembled by hand.
Drivers and Tech
Each earpiece comes with 12 drivers: Quad Low, Quad Mid and Quad High Proprietary Balanced Armatures. The 3D printed Sonic Tube chambers assist the 12 driver configuration having freqphase technology implemented. This kind of technology allows for a smaller shell design without compromising the sound quality. It allows the incredible sound production from the studio straight to your ears.
The earphones have the option to be personalized as well. Each Layla AION comes with an option to customize bass from flat zero to +13db.
The cable is made from highly purified silver-plated OCC Litz Wire that ensures the strength and prevents any kind of oxidation while maintaining super lightweight. Not only that but the earphones come with a 3.5mm to 2.5mm pole connector cable, a carbon case to carry them around and a manual full of tips and guidelines for you to earphones comfortably.
