You’ll come across many wristwatches throughout life, but I’d bet that 90% of them just aren’t the right ones for you. There are many brands out there nowadays, which means choosing one is actually a bit difficult if you’re not tuned into the world of timepieces. However, we hope to find the right company for you if you’re on the lookout for a brand new wristwatch.
On a budget – Swatch
For anyone who wants a basic watch without a lot of expensive materials or loads of bling, then Swatch is for you. The designs are numerous and ever-changing, so even if you somehow can’t find a Swatch watch that looks okay for you, then just wait a few months and a bunch of new options will turn up. The strap is usually rubber and the watch faces are thin, but the designs range from wacky to monotone to even fluorescent and neon. Expect to pay around $75 for the most straightforward watch.
Expensive yet not garish – Bremont
British company Bremont may not have the longstanding pedigree like Swiss companies along the lines of Rolex, Patek Philippe, or Omega, but it has most definitely risen in the ranks due to creating attractive and sturdy pilot watches. You’re likely to pay close to $2,500 for a watch from Bremont, but that price tag could be reduced somewhat when found online. If you’re looking for a nice mix between rugged and pretty, then Bremont should fit the bill, as they are built to last and designed to be admired.
Something modern and trendy – Apple Watch
Currently at the 4th iteration, the Apple Watch entry-level option will set you back around $399, but is packed full of features like a 16GB memory chip, silver aluminum casing, heart rate sensor, loudspeaker (for taking phone calls), 18 hours of battery life, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi capabilities, and water resistance up to 50 meters. Although smartwatches aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, it’s safe to say that there’s no smartwatch in the stores as beautiful as Apple’s. There are so many functions that make it a gorgeous timepiece on the cutting-edge of technology.
Stylish but affordable – MVMT
Everyone likes others to think they spent a huge amount for a watch, yet only the wearer knows it was actually below $200. This is thankfully the case with MVMT watches, as the company seemingly came out of nowhere to find a way to produce excellent designs using quality materials at an affordable price. There is no pretentiousness here; MVMT watches look striking without being so “in your face” like other luxury brands. It’s as if the company is aware that the watches are great but don’t care if anyone hasn’t heard of it. MVMT sells exclusively online, which might be a drawback for shoppers who like to try before they buy.
