Christmas is a great time for gift giving. While traditional gifts and advent calendars flood the shops, it is fun to give or get something different. Wera have the perfect idea with their Advent Calendar. Instead of eating cheap chocolates every day, you slowly build a tool kit. By Christmas day, you are ready to build whatever toy or set has been thrown your way.
The first thing you notice is how big the calendar is itself. The box was around 50cm by 50cm, meaning it took a lot of space. Luckily, I was opening this up for a review, so I didn’t have to wait 24 days to find out what was inside.
Since items of various size exist in the box, you have different sized windows.
You start off with the bag for the tool kit, which is a pretty good place to start.
What follows is the handle for a screw driver. From there on, it turns into bit of a tease. You get small bits, big bits, tiny bits, rachet bits. Slowly, day by day, you build your tool kit. The size of the window and the item you get is a bit random, which means you don’t quite know what is coming your way.
However, at the end of it all, you end up with a pretty decent tool kit.
Generally speaking, Wera is a very well respected German company that make tools. As an engineer, it is one of the companies of choice when it comes to buying tools. This means that whoever ends up with this advent calendar will be a lucky person. The tools are built to last, and this toolkit will be with them through many an adventure.
More information on this as well as buying options can be found on the Reichelt website. It retails for £45.69.
