EasySMX G10 Mouse – The looks and features
I had this mouse connected to one of my work computers, and it definitely gained a lot of attraction. The design looks reasonably similar to something out of a Transformers film.
The breathing LED ensures that you attract all the attention you need. Of course, more importantly, when you are gaming, you mean business!
The top comes with the standard mouse buttons, as well as the DPI cycle key. Also included is a back button just below the left click. The back button is same as ALT and right arrow, allowing you to go back one in the browser.
The left side features some extra keys. The screen button throws you towards the desktop. The placement of the buttons allows you to use them with your right thumb. This makes this mouse only suitable for right-handed people
The bottom contains the optical sensor and allows you to turn the LED on or off.
At 150g, the mouse is slightly heavier than most. However, a lot of gamers prefer their mice to be heavier so it will work for some. The design is more of a claw rather than standard. Personally, I struggled to get used to the slightly unconventional shape. However, I try quite a few mice so it could be just that.
The mouse is supposed to feature 10 programmable buttons. However, the software that comes in the CD only allowed for the top buttons to be programmed, not the side ones. This was annoying as it reduced the usability of the device. It took a little while to find the right software as the CD comes with two available. Once installed, changing the buttons was simple.
As far as gaming goes, the mouse was highly responsive. The DPI adjustment on the fly was handy and the heavy weight kept it stable.
More information on the mouse can be found on the EasySMX website.
It retails for around £20 and can be bought from Amazon.
