Fancy being one of the first few to get your hands on the PS4? You can! It will be available to buy at a midnight launch event happening at the PS4™ Lounge #4ThePlayers in London’s Covent Garden on Thursday 28th November.

While the pre-orders are all sold out, the PS4s available at the PS4 Lounge will be on a first come, first served basis, from midnight, and will provide an opportunity to all those who couldn’t get to pre-order their PS4.

Queuing for the event will start from Thursday morning, and those in attendance will also be treated to a performance by Tinie Tempah.

“Day one PS4 pre-orders sold out in record time and this could be the last chance for anyone who wants to get their hands on a console before Christmas”, said Fergal Gara, MD and VP, Sony Computer Entertainment UK & Ireland. “We really wanted to offer some way for people to buy on launch day, and this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone that hasn’t already pre-ordered to get their hands on a PS4 on day one. The excitement in the run up to our UK launch has been phenomenal, and we want to thank gamers for their support by giving them the chance to take a PS4 home at the earliest opportunity.”

Martyn Gibbs, GAME CEO comments: “The excitement and anticipation for the PS4 launch is absolutely massive. We’re stepping into the next generation of gaming and this really is a fundamental shift for the industry. The PS4 launch is going to surpass anything Playstation has done before – our pre-order numbers are around four times higher than the PS3 and we’re seeing those numbers grow every day. We’re delighted that we are able to bring additional last-minute stock to the UK market and keep delivering for the UK gaming communities and we can’t wait for the official launch.”

Gamers will be kept well fed and watered thanks to Domino’s and Red Bull. All the gamers who want to get in with this chance are invited to queue outside the PS4 Lounge, located at 17 Bedford Street, Covent Garden.

The PS4 launches across the UK on 29th November, priced at £349, with over 400 stores hosting special midnight openings on 28th November.
