These days we seem to be spoilt for choice when it comes to Bluetooth Headphones. There are so many out there to try, you don’t even know where to start. When it comes to these headphones, there is a clear divide in the kind of headphones available. There is the very expensive, the ones that cost more than a £100 and promise to give you everything you want from a good pair of headphones. Then there is the second class, which you normally find under the £40 or £50 mark, which may not be the best ‘sound’ experience, but they give you full functionality, and are often lighter and easier to carry around. The Wintech WHB-15 headphones are one of the latter ones, and here we review them.
In the box:
- User’s Manual
- USB to mini-USB lead (for charging)
Look and feel
The headphones are light and a bit plastic to feel. The retractable headband provides a good comfortable feel, and this means that they can be the ideal headphones for a run or a gym session. The right side has 5 buttons which all have a rubber finish, but are not very easy to press. The L and R are clearly marked. The ears are nicely cushioned with foam. We found that the foam bits look a bit small but cover the ears comfortably. The right side also has an LED which indicates the connection and status of the headphones.
Pairing of the headphones is seamless. The manual clearly guides you how to do it, and once connected the headphones are good to go. When connected, the LED keeps blinking blue to tell you that it is paired. This is a feature we are not very fond off.
As expected, the call quality is quite good. The headphones provide good clarity, and due to the nature of how they go around your ears, the sound is not too bassy either.
Once again, these headphones provide you with all the basics. The treble, bass and clarity are all as you would want your headphones to be. You won’t be blown away, but then you won’t be disappointed either.
As far as as economical headphones go, these do the job. The buttons feel cheap, and can definitely be improved, but the sound quality is as good as you want. Build quality is quite good too, meaning you can easily carry them around without worrying too much about them.
