Acer has announced the new TravelMate P6 14 AI laptop at IFA 2024.
The laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra processors (series 2) and offers high performance and AI experiences, delivering enhanced productivity, creativity as well as security in an ultra-thin and light design. The processors can deliver up to 120 TOPS AI performance in a compact carbon fibre chassis. On top of this, it weighs less than 1kg, making this a market leader.
The device is aimed at commercial organisations. It features custom workflow and security options, on top of Acer’s on-device AI powered tools. It also comes with seamless compatibility with key business software.
It offers expansive visuals with a 14 inch WQXGA+ or WUXGA display, with a 16:10 aspect and 82% screen-to-body ratios.
This makes it the perfect device for on the go executives and mobile professionals. It even comes with a MIL-STD 810H durability certificate.
The device will also receive free updates to the Copilot+ PC experiences later this year.

AI tools
When AI is in use, the logo illuminates to indicate usage. Other apps such as the Acer Experience Zone within Acer’s TravelMate sense app offer powerful AI features. Acer Assist is an on device AI assistant, offering LLM and local files. Acer LiverArt 2.0 can remove background in photos and create depth maps on 2D images. Also, GIMP and Intel’s Stable Diffusion plugin support the creation of illustrations, images and photos.
The Acer QuickPanel launches to offer better video and audio.
Enhanced Security
The TravelMate P6 14 AI provides advanced security and administration features. These include QHD IR camera for password free login. It also has a privacy shutter. Acer User sensing technology will automatically detect when people move away from the device and will lock the screen.
On top of this, you get all the state of the art connectivity features that you would expect from such a device.
Business focus
The device has been designed for usage by businesses, so it comes with various software to help manage IT functions. These include the Acer TravelMateSense software. Workflow coordinates functions they may need, while Secure Guard offers security related features. On top, Office Manager allows offices without dedicated IT staff to poll data, centralise resources and monitor IT assets.
Pricing
The Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI (TMP614-54/T/TCO) will be available in North America in January 2025, starting at USD 1,499.99, and in EMEA in January 2025, starting at EUR 1,349.
