Velotton has introduced the new version of their light&smart ebike kits Vekkit ( https://vekkit.com ). The new version features a special GPS+LTE module which allows to check on your bike while you are away. The module has a sensitive sensor which registers even the smallest movements of your bike (for example, during an attempt of stealing) and sends notifications to the server via LTE which you will see on your phone. The GPS sensor will provide the exact location of your bike even if it is a thousand kilometres away. This new module was developed so that it can be installed on the previous versions of Vekkit and it can work without the main kit’s battery for up to 2 months. In addition to tracking the bike this module has extra sensors which monitor the quality of air and provide additional statistics such as acceleration, uphill gradient and more. All data can be saved without connection to a smartphone: you won’t have to launch the app before every ride.

– Batteries are made with the 21700 li-ion elements which have the highest capacity per gram of weight among li-ion batteries
