Milanote is an online cloud-based note-taking app that is designed for those with creative minds. It has a pasteboard-style interface that can hold images, links, text, arrows, emojis, web pages, and color swatches all in one place. You can put each thing where ever you want to. You also get to share your board with others by publishing it. This allows others to view them and make comments in real-time.
When Milanote first launched, it was a limited, web-only release. It’s now available on desktop and mobile devices, and it has a web clipper as well. The price has come down since the first release, too. Milanote remains an interesting app for creatives, but still has it has a lot of room for improvement.
How Much Does Milanote Cost?
Currently, you can have access to Milanote on three different plans. The first one is a limited free version that lets you enjoy limited features including save 100 images, notes, or links; upload 10 files; and share as many boards as you want.
Then comes the paid version that lets you add unlimited notes, images, lines, or files. It costs $12.50 for a monthly subscription and $119.88 for a yearly subscription. The last one is a plane for teams. It is called a team account and costs $49 per month for up to 10 people, or $99 per month for up to 50 people. You get everything that’s in the paid individual account plus priority support.
You get to play with a variety of tools and types of materials when taking notes on Milanote. Images and PDFs, text boxes, and preformatted text, like bullet lists and checkmark boxes for to-do lists. The absolute winner is the color swatch which is a little card containing whatever color you choose with the alpha-numeric hex value that shows up automatically beneath it.
If you are not sure about how to let your inner creative out while note-taking, Milanote has an incredible list of templates as a solution for this. Whether you are leading a project, work as a writer, are a designer, or a marketing agency, Milanote has you covered with its variety of templates.
Milanote has made serious strides since its debut. It’s a unique service that may appeal to creative types for being much faster and easier to use than, say, diagramming software or heavy-duty illustration software. It certainly has its appeal!
