Western Digital announces 4TB capacity boost to its external SSDs

Today, storage solution titans Western Digital announced a 4TB capacity bump across its portfolio to give consumers and professionals more space to create in today’s content-rich world.

Expected to arrive on the Western Digital Store later this calendar quarter, the four drives now offer gamers, content creators, enthusiasts, and creative professionals the performance, durability, and greater capacity they need to capture, move, and save their files.

The products set to receive the capacity boost are:

SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD-£857.99

Featuring up to 2000MB/s read and write speeds, this powerful NVMe™ delivers near-unrivalled performance and is encased in a forged aluminium chassis that acts as a heatsink to deliver higher sustained speeds in a compact form factor.

Coming in a range of colours including grey, blue, red, gold and silver, this blazing fast NVMe supplies read speeds of up to 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s, enabling everyday content creators, curators, and hobbyists to keep productivity flowing.
