LG Electronics (LG) has announced the world’s first filter-type portable air purifier designed for use on-the-go. LG PuriCare Mini is a cord-free purifier that comes with a PM1.0 Sensor.
“Providing useful technology in a form factor that goes where our customers go – this is what LG PuriCare Mini is all about,” said Song Dae-Hyun, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.
He added, “There is nothing more important than the health of one’s family and LG is committed to using its engineering know-how to deliver innovative solutions.”
4-Step Air Filtration System
It comes with a 4-Step Air Filtration System. LG claims that it can detect and remove 99 per cent particulates as small as 0.3 μm. The air purifier is similar in size and weight as a 500-millilitre bottle of water. The company claims that the wireless portable air purifier freshens the air for up to 8 hours at low speed or 2 hours at the highest setting on battery power alone.
PuriCare Mini uses a durable filter which company claims, can last up to 2,000 hours or six months if used 12 hours a day. The company has also launched LG ThinQ app for both Android and iOS devices allows users to monitor the condition of the filter, check the battery status and control their LG PuriCare Mini via Bluetooth with a smartphone or tablet. LG PuriCare Mini will become available in key markets of Asia, North America throughout the next several weeks into 2019.
