Each year Masala! Magazine UAE chooses to honor the best and the most happening personalities in the South Asian diaspora connected in the UAE. The platform allows many celebrities from India and Pakistan to intermingle in the UAE where many Bollywood and Lollywood fans reside.
Masala! has invited the best of the business and has decided to honor them at the ceremony. Also showcasing will be the renowned designer Faraz Manan’s latest collection.
“For the first time ever, Masala! Awards will host a spectacular fashion show and Faraz will showcase his latest Spring/Summer Couture Collection!

From Pakistani celebrities, we have our favorite stars making an appearance at the awards.
- Sheheryaar Munawar
Sheheryaar Munawar is a Pakistani hero and heartthrob who recently appeared in films like Ho Mann Jahan with Mahira Khan and Adeel Hussain and Saat Din Mohabbat In with Mahira Khan and Amna Ilyas. He also is set to appear opposite an Asim Raza film Paray Hat Love opposite Maya Ali. Munawar has been a television actor before he made his foray into films and has had many hit television serials Mere Dard Ko Jo Zubaan Milay and Aasmaanon Per Likha Hai.
- Osman Khalid Butt
Rising from his very funny vlogs, this multi-talented star is quite an all-rounder. He appeared in dramas such as Diyaar e Dil, Aunn Zara and Sanam and starred in a film called Balu Mahi. Butt is next set to appear in a Saqib Malik film called “Baaji” and had recently choreographed songs in the film “Parchi”. Not only Osman, or OKB, as he is popularly called, a celebrity in his own right but he also frequently voices his opinion on various social issues and is always found to be saying what needs to be said.
- Amna Ilyas
Amna Ilyas is a model and actress and was seen in films like Zinda Bhaag for which she received critical acclaim. Amna was also seen in Saat Din Mohabbat In opposite Sheheryaar Munawar and will be seen with Osman Khalid Butt in the film Baaji, which also stars Lollywood heavyweight Meera. Known for her vocal opinions and on-point acting, Amna Ilyas is definitely worth a watch.
- Ayesha Omar
Also all set to attend Masala Awards 2018 is Ayesha Omar. Ayesha is a singer, actress, model and host. She hosted Pepsi Battle of the Bands, acted in the popular tv show “Bulbulay” and films like Karachi se Lahore and Yalghaar. She also appeared in dramas such as Zindagi Gulzaar Hai and Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat. Ayesha is a known Pakistani celebrity and has also hosted many ceremonies and is also a fashion icon.
- Frieha Altaf
Fashion personality and events chief, Frieha Altaf is a known Pakistani celebrity and consultant. Read more about her here. Frieha would be attending the Masala Awards 2018 which are to be held in Dubai.
