The LG G5 offers many custom settings to its users straight out of the box. The ability to change vibration patterns as well as vibration intensity for different kind of alerts is one of them. It is a very handy feature, specially as it allows you to really focus on what kind of an alert is important to you, and how it works for you. This also makes a pleasant change from the likes of HTC, which seem to give you an extremely powerful vibration that can often end up being rather annoying.
In fact, LG has even allowed you to create your own custom vibrations too.
The way to change all of this is explained in this article, so scroll on and read how to do it.
First of all, start by heading to your Settings.
This can be done by going selecting SETTINGS from your Home Page.
Or hitting the GEAR Icon in the top right corner of your Notifications Menu.
Hit the SOUND AND NOTIFICATIONS Tab in your Settings Menu.
On the Sound Tab, scroll down a bit to show Vibration Settings.
Here you can select Vibration Strength to adjust your vibration:
I found the vibration on the phone to be quite gentle, so I kept it at full. You can choose what suits you best.
If you want to change vibration patterns, just look back at the vibration settings, and hit Vibration Pattern.
In here, you can choose a vibration of your choice.
In case you want to create a custom vibration, just hit the big plus sign in the top right.
This will open the next page:
Just tap a vibration pattern on the screen to create your custom vibration. Once done, hit Stop, and then play it to feel it back. If it works, great, save it, if not, try again.
This should give you plenty to play with, and choose from.
can not actually shorten the notification vibration duration as i can see..
It’s quite frustrating as I have learnt the settings keep changing with updates or in diff versions of the same phone around the world.
