Smartphones are fragile. You carry around a device that costs anywhere from a few hundred pounds to more than 600, and a single drop is all it takes to shatter a screen, or cause other damage. While a lot of services exist around the country that deal with that problem, iCracked, formed in the US in 2010, and released in the UK in 2014, are showing us Brits, Londoners to start with, how to do phone repair in style. They are expanding beyond London this year.
Yes, you read that right. iCracked are not your typical phone repair company you see. Most repairs take 20 minutes to an hour, but more importantly, they give you quotes in minutes. They even come to the location of your choice, and sort everything out for you.
In efforts to announce themselves to us, they took over a bar in London, and introduced Wrappy Hour, where all the surfaces were covered in bubble wrap, the floor was soft and the glasses too thin to let any pesky phone slip in.
As the video shows, we definitely tested that!
They even had on hand repair technicians to repair phones, and one of our mates went to get his iPhone 6 screen repaired.
And of, course, there were drinks!
A thoroughly enjoyable evening to introduce us to a thoroughly useful service.
