Lots of news to feature today, and this was the first one to hit us after we learnt of the Microsoft/Nokia deal. Anyway, HTC, ahead of the IFA event starting tomorrow, have announced a series of devices.
“For the last 17 years HTC has challenged the mobile industry to develop innovations that change the way in which people use their mobile phone. Now we’re not only changing the way people view the mid-range and entry-level market but setting the bar even higher when it comes to our premium devices and capabilities,” commented Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “We are committed to offering the most innovative portfolio of products on the market. Our Desire family has become synonymous with affordable quality. Offering some of the most advanced capabilities of any smartphone, these phones truly represent premium quality in a more affordable price bracket.”
HTC BoomBass
The most prominent of the lot, a square Bluetooth speaker which acts as a woofer to your already powerful HTC ONE. While we couldn’t find an image in our press pack, there are plenty of images of this very square (cube) speaker, with a sliding part to allow you to leave your phone on top. Of course, it connects via Bluetooth, and provides you an even deeper Bass experience than the HTC ONE.
The announcement also brings a new Vivid Blue HTC ONE and HTC ONE Mini to the market.
HTC Desire 601
Pretty much a younger brother to the HTC ONE, bringing many of its features, with mid-range capabilities, 4.5″ screen, etc.
HTC Desire 300
A younger brother to the HTC Desire 601, with entry level specs, a 4.3″ display, and HTC Blinkfeed.
