Review: Veho MUVI X-Lapse 360 Rotating Camera Mount

What is it?

This is a camera mount that comes with a built in 360 degrees rotating mechanism. On the top you can attach any camera with the universal camera mount, or an additional bracket allows you to hold your smart phone in there. It will rotate 360 degrees in a 60 minutes, and works on a clock work winding mechanism so you don’t have to add any batteries to the mechanism. This I think is a big plus these days. It comes with some feet to put on a desk, or at the bottom is a universal camera socket, so you can screw this on top of any tripod too.

Okay… so what do I use it for?

Time lapse photos, 360 degree panoramas, or just as a smart phone holder/tripod.

Tripod not included!

Can I adjust the time lapse angle?

Yes, you can. Just wind it up to the angle you want, and it will spin through that.

Can I adjust the time lapse angle?

No.

I like it… where do I get it and how much does it cost?

This can be found at LoveCases under camera covers. While normally it retails at £29.95, at the time of writing this it is only £19.95.

Verdict:

This is a fairly useful tool for most of you photographers. Since it is round, it is actually almost shaped like a small lens and should easily be put in your camera bag. Very portable, not costy, and one of those quirky gadgets you really need to have in your accessories list.
