@smacula Hi there, the Jelly Bean update is now available for the HTC One X. It’s being rolled out in batches, so please keep trying.

The main concern is, they have promised this before. Yes, this is a new year, new time, and probably now they have the full use of staff to perform the tests and do the roll out. But, having tried to do the update a few times since the tweet, so far I have nothing.
As a result, we have sadly lost a lot of respect for O2 in the process. All other providers have had the update roll out about two weeks prior to Christmas. This means that O2 customers are around a month late. It also means that we shall seriously be considering the Google branded android phones in the future, and probably avoid any other make and model.
Update: 02.01.13, 06.54pm:
We have a reply from +O2 in the UK in the comments section:
I have just posted it as a picture so people can see it. Sadly, this is once again, another show of the varying comments coming from the O2 social media team. Who knows when I’ll get the update, if ever!
Update 02.01.13 07.10pm
Further response from O2 now. Sadly, it is just another one of a series of contrasting answers from various people from O2.
Anyway, keep checking on the provided link, though going through 24 pages of comments is not really going to be fun.
Update 03.01.13 07.30pm
My friend from Twitter, Keiran actually informed me that his mother, who actually owns an HTC ONE S, has already had the update from O2 on Xmas day. He has kindly allowed me to publish the following images from his mother’s HTC ONE S:
O2 customers are able to download the #JellyBean #Update on their #HTC One X. You can do this in Settings>About>Software Updates>Check Now

So far, I have had nothing, but I’ll keep you posted if I get the update!
Update:04.01.13 2pm
And so the saga ends. I have successfully received the update to my HTC ONE X. In the coming days I shall be posting my impressions from the new update.
Thanks for all the update and reading and leaving your comments. From all the Twitter comments I am getting, I am seeing a lot of people are also receiving it now.
Apologies for the incorrect information given to some of our customers earlier. The Jelly Bean software update for hTC One X and One S is currently being tested to ensure everyone receives it without any hiccups. We’re closely working with hTC to ensure it delivers the best user experience as soon as possible.
Thanks
Abs

The problem is the varying information constantly appearing on Twitter, social media, as well as your forums. Can you guys actually release an official statement on your website? It would help!
Hi Sami,
The statement on the O2 Community is official and as promised we will update the below community thread as soon as the Jelly Bean software update is rolled-out to our customers.

Thanks, Abs
Thanks for the update Abs. However, the problem of going through more than 24 pages of comments does offer some issues. Which is why I have asked you guys to put a page up with an official statement, rather than the constantly varying statements we keep getting!
You don’t have to go through all comments/ pages on that thread, just copy/ paste the above link and it’ll show you the latest post by Toby who has posted the official statement as things stand at this moment. We’ll post an update on that thread as soon as we know more details.
Can you go and at least correct all the other assumptions on your community? It would help. A lot of disgruntled customers are really put off!
O2 taking the piss. End off. Leaving them
Bye bye o2
Same problem here…
No update so far..
Just got my update on my branded O2 One X. Suggest you all check again now!
Well I had an update before Xmas for my HTC one x and I’m on 02…..happy customer here. Plus….I have just received another one this morning.
Hi Zoe, thank you very much for your update. Did you also buy your ONE X from O2? Or do you just use the O2 service and bought your phone independantly? Also, do you mind posting your new software version? Thanks!
You were seriously considering not buying an Android phone after this? really? I’ve had this phone since it came out on 3 and I got the update yesterday but the phone was never bad. It didn’t need an update.and that’s not to say the features we got are bad.
No, I won’t say that. However, I was seriously considering not buying through a company such as O2, etc,… and probably stick to Google’s own brands rather than other parties. However, I am not due a new phone for some time now… so we’ll see!
