This one applies mostly to British people, but it may work in other countries as well.
If you are like me, you most probably hate carrying the 5kg of change in copper we end up accumulating in our wallets/purses.
You most probably also hate the self-checkouts at most of the leading stores these days.
I have found a way to combine the two for the greater good.
Next time you shop, go to one of these, and once you have managed to get over the ‘unexpected item in the baggage area’, and got to the bit where you pay for it, just empty your wallet in to the coins slot. Takes a bit of time but works. And you don’t have to a pay a percentage like you have to do on those coin-to-cash converting machines.
So what if you don’t have enough? I hear you say!
The way these machines are designed, you just pay the rest by card, or cash, or whatever!
A proof that two wrongs do make a right sometimes!
