How to peel almonds – quickly!

As somebody who loves desserts, and almonds, and other things, I often have the need for peeled almonds. Generally, it isn’t too bad. You can easily buy them in the shops. However, every now and then, you either can’t find them, or just find that they are too expensive.

There is a simple trick to peeling almonds though.

There is the slow and more well known way to soak them in water, which works, but needs time.

Or the simple one, where you just pour hot/boiling water over them, and just take the peels right off. It works so well, you can almost squeeze one end and see the almond liberated from its peel clothes! Be careful handling the hot almonds though!

Now I admit that this is probably well known, but I discovered this around a baking session and thought I’d share this!
