In the packaging, the Snugg iPad Mini case looks just like the majority of other iPad Mini cases. The one I have is black leather with white contrasting stitching, and is very nice looking. The packaging shows a pen stylus, but none was included, and there is no mention of the stylus not being included. The website, does mention this. Some customers might find that a little misleading, as other iPad covers do come with a pen stylus.
I unpacked the cover and got my iPad inside with ease. It fits perfectly, with no wiggle room. And the Velcro strip, which is well hidden, holds the cover in place perfectly. Unfortunately, that’s about all the positive things I can say about the case.
The basic function of a gadget case is to protect it. After that, they are distinguishable by colour and added features. But still, it has to have the basic function covered, doesn’t it? The cover of this case doesn’t close perfectly. The magnets aren’t strong enough for the flap to grab onto the cover. If you don’t make sure it’s closed all the way, there is potential for damage if the iPad falls off a desk or gets dropped, as the cover can easily open, leaving the screen vulnerable.
Secondly, the cover doesn’t turn the iPad on and off, like most other covers do. This of course meant that I drained my battery way down because I forgot to manually turn off the gadget when I closed it. One of the great features of the newer iPad covers is that they turn the device on and off. I’d much rather have a case that did so.
The stand worked just as expected, and held the iPad at a good angle. It’s not adjustable, as there’s only one setting.
Overall, I wasn’t too pleased with this cover. I didn’t like the fact that it didn’t close tightly, or that the cover didn’t turn the iPad on/off.
The Snugg iPad Mini Case is currently on offer, and can be bought for only £24.99 (down from £39.99) from their website at the following link:

How can you make this cover turn the mini off and on?.
It doesn’t turn it off or on.
Generally most cases do turn the screen off, as in go to standby when you close it, and turn it back on when you open it.
