We’ve long been fans of Reolink here at OxGadgets, mostly because they seem to be one of the few brands that truly understand the “subscription fatigue” we’re all feeling. While the likes of Ring and Nest are busy locking features behind monthly paywalls, Reolink has just dropped their most ambitious piece of hardware yet: the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi.
Announced officially this week, this isn’t just another motion-sensing light. It’s a 4K, dual-lens, pan-and-tilt beast that wants to be the only security guard your driveway ever needs.
Design: Two Eyes are Better Than One
The first thing you’ll notice about the TrackFlex is its dual-lens setup. Unlike standard cameras that force you to choose between a wide view or a zoomed-in one, the TrackFlex gives you both simultaneously.
One lens handles the 4K wide-angle panoramic view, while the second acts as a 6x hybrid zoom telephoto lens. They work in tandem to track moving subjects across your property, so if someone walks toward your porch, you see the wide shot of where they came from and a crystal-clear close-up of their face at the same time—all on one screen in the app.
The “Google for Your Driveway”
Perhaps the most impressive feature is the ReoNeura™ AI system. We’ve all been there—scrubbing through six hours of footage to find that one moment the delivery driver dropped a package.
With Local AI Video Search, you can literally type “man in a blue shirt” or “white SUV” into the app, and it will pull up the relevant clips in seconds. Because this processing happens locally on the device, your data stays private, and—critically—it doesn’t cost you a penny in subscription fees.
Blindingly Bright Security
A floodlight camera is only as good as its, well, floodlights. The TrackFlex pushes out a massive 3000 Lumens, which is bright enough to turn midnight into midday.
What we really like, though, is the flexibility. You can adjust the color temperature between 6500K (cool white) for a high-intensity security deterrent and 3000K (warm white) if you just want some nice ambient lighting for your garden. If an intruder does show up, there’s a 110-decibel siren ready to make them regret their life choices.
Seeing Around Corners
The cleverest bit of engineering here is the 270-degree Out-of-View Detection. Most cameras only “wake up” when someone enters the frame. The TrackFlex uses an array of three PIR (passive infrared) sensors to detect motion even when it’s happening behind or to the side of where the camera is currently pointing.
As soon as those sensors pick up movement in that ultra-wide 270-degree zone, the camera swivels to catch the action before the subject even knows they’re being watched.
Pricing & Availability
The Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is available now in the U.S. starting at $259.99. You can pick it up directly from Reolink.com or over on Amazon.
The OxGadgets Verdict
If you’re tired of “blind-spot anxiety” and monthly bills, the TrackFlex is a very compelling package. It’s hardwired for stability, packs some of the smartest AI we’ve seen in a consumer unit, and that 270-degree detection is a genuine game-changer for corner-mounted security.
