Toyota Range Aygo Puts The Emphasis On Sound And Vision With Jbl Edition

The Aygo JBL edition has made hot looks and cool sounds the order of the day. It is a totally new edition that has brought changes to the city car line up this summer for Toyota.

JBL Edition

The JBL edition for the Aygo comes packed with a JBL audio system that has five speakers and a 160mm subwoofer which is cleverly packed in the spare wheel well. A separate tyre repair kit has been provided to users to compensate. In order to link the audio system to the user’s playlist, all they have to do is integrate their smartphone using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, Bluetooth, or the USB port in the center console.

The visuals of the car compliment the sounds produced by the audio system. It has a bodywork which is an exclusive combination of Electro Grey with bright Mandarin Pop for the roof, front pillars, door mirror casings, lower grille surround, and side sills.

In the cabin, Toyota has picked a vibrant orange theme that also expands to the air vent, gear shift surrounds, the side bolsters and contrast stitching on the seats, and the floor mat edging. The new Aygo JBL Edition is on sale now, price £14,150 with five-speed manual transmission and £14,850 with the x-shift automated manual gearbox.

Revised range with Toyota Safety Sense as standard

For the year 2020, Aygo has come out as an exclusive five-door model. It also has three equipment grades all of which have been fitted as standard with Toyota Safety Sense active safety systems.

As a result, a Pre Collision System is added with automatic emergency braking and Lane Departure Alert. This warns the drivers in situations where the car deviates from its traffic lane. 

The base model for the Aygo range is the x-play. It comes with all the needed features such as height-adjustable driver’s seat air conditioning, LED rear lights, and the x-touch multimedia system with reversing camera, DAB, and Bluetooth. 

The x-trend adds 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, and exterior decals for the sills, bumpers, and door mirror covers. The Funroof large, power-operated canvas roof can be specified as an option.

At the top of the range, the Aygo x-clusiv is additionally equipped with twin-spoke alloy wheels, part-leather seat upholstery, and smart entry and start. A bi-tone paint finish is also standard.

Aygo’s highly efficient powertrain is unchanged, the 71bhp three-cylinder engine matched to either a five-speed manual or x-shift automated manual transmission. This delivers both sprightly performance and efficiency with combined cycle (WLTP) fuel economy of 53.3 to 56.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 114 to 120g/km for the manual version, and 51.4 to 54.3mpg and 118 to 124g/km for the x-shift
