D‑Link unveils latest additions to its Vigilance surveillance portfolio with new outdoor 5‑megapixel cameras

D-Link, the world leader in smart surveillance solutions has announced the expansion to its portfolio of outdoor cameras. The new cameras are put into shape to withstand extreme and intense conditions and offer high‑quality round‑the‑clock monitoring.

The two new additions are namely DCS-4705E 5-Megapixel Outdoor Mini Bullet Camera and the DCS-4605EV 5-Megapixel Outdoor Dome Camera. These cameras provide round the clock protection to businesses. They are extremely easy to install and have commendable and state of the art capabilities and features.

Durability and robustness are the top qualities of the two new cameras. Due to this, they are able to withstand an extreme and adverse range of conditions outdoors. The IP66 rated waterproof housing ensures that the cameras can withstand high levels of rain and dust as well as temperatures ranging -30 to 50 °C. Moreover, DCS-4605EV dome camera’s IK10 vandal-proof housing makes it ideal for environments that have high chances for the camera being damaged or tampered with.

Both cameras, the DCS-4705E mini bullet camera, and the DCS-4605EV dome camera are made to cater to a wide range of outdoor environments. Some of the examples include entrance to buildings and pathways and carparks etc. they are both equipped with PoE support which allows for placement and wide range of positions and locations without an extra need for power cabling and sockets.

The camera sensor on the two is 5-megapixel image sensors. Support for resolution is up to 2048 x 1536. This ensures that each and every single detail is captured ranging from faces to number plates. Support for the latest H.265 High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard maximizes network bandwidth for enhanced quality. 3D noise reduction (3DNR) and wide dynamic range (WDR) are also included in both cameras to further enhance the quality of footage captured in challenging lighting conditions. Thanks to IR LEDs and the automatic IR-Cut filter the cameras are effective in all lighting environments from complete darkness to areas with high levels of contrast.
