Real-time Multilingual Language Transcription app by Zoi Meet is now available on Vuzix

Vuzix, the leading supplier of smart glasses and Augmented reality (AR) technology products has announced the availability of its all-new app Zoi Meet. Zoi Meet is a real-time transcription app that can be used on Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses. The app enables users to immediately transcribe anything that has been said in one of the 12 languages that it supports.

“In times of rapid digital transformation, we feel its key to provide people with the capabilities that allow them to navigate in highly connected, international environments. By enabling the unique Zoi Meet instant transcription service on Vuzix smart glasses we realize our goal of bringing people closer together and unlocking both personal and business opportunities unavailable to them before,” said Kevin Oranje Founder of Zoi Meet.

Zoi Meet

Verizon was the first to provide a demonstration of Zoi Meet on May 2019. It showed how it worked to do the real-time translation on the Vuzix Blade at their “Verizon Tech Day” held in their Basking Ridge, NJ headquarters. From that day to this, Zoi Meet has now been made available for users to download and use on their Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses. It allows for hands-free language translation in which speech is automatically transcribed into text and projected directly onto the display of the headset.

What’s more?

The Zoi Meet application is not only limited to the Vuzix Blade. It can also be connected to any Zoi Meet hosted meeting by simply entering the PIN code into the application. As on the Vuzix Blade, using the Zoi Meet app on the Blade meeting, the participants can receive real-time language translation. This takes place during the meeting and again any one of the twelve languages can be used. The languages supported are  English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese (simplified), Japanese and Korean.

If you are looking to host local meetings then that can be done too on the Vuzix Blade. The local conversations can be transcribed by accessing the microphone on the Vuzix Blade which transforms the Vuzic Blade into a live closed captioning device and converts spoke language into text on the display of the blade.

“The need for seamless communication across languages has never been greater. With this exciting collaboration we mark the breakthrough moment in the AR technology world and bring great value to our users by offering a truly practical service on our glasses,” said Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive Officer at Vuzix.
