Segway-Ninebot shares a sneak peek into its vision of integrating AI into urban micro mobility

A range of prototypes were also recently unveiled, which is expected to play a key role in the coming years in the development of “AI-powered mobility”.

The KickScooter T60, Powered By Segway is a future prototype of the company’s ride-sharing KickScooter business lines. The T60 is a revolutionary product, using AI to create the ability to pilot itself to riders and back or to its charging station autonomously. With its vision-based navigation technology, the T60 can be operated with two modes: guided piloting for short distances and autonomous piloting for longer distances. Additional features of the T60 include automatic dispatch, cloud service, and wireless charging. Operators may remotely control the automated movement of kick scooters through the cloud so as to achieve a one-to-many manual remote dispatch. As a result, ride-sharing KickScooters can be dispatched intelligently in different time periods and areas to help shared business operators improve the turnaround frequency of products for lower operating costs and higher profitability.

The Segway “DeliveryBot” concept was also introduced recently. The Segway DeliveryBot is an indoor delivery robot that can adapt to any environment with a navigation system integrated with highly sophisticated visual sensors which helps achieve higher location precision and fewer visual blind spots. It can easily detect human feet and small movements in all directions so that it can avoid accidents and obstacles properly.
The T60 KickScooter and Delivery Robot concepts are currently in the testing-phase and the market introduction timing has not yet been determined.
