Oppo has announced three new flash charge technologies. The new technologies have put Oppo in front of the line in the 5G era. The 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0, 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge and VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 have reinforced Oppo’s top position in the fast charging world as the smartphone world enters the era of 5G.

In the future, OPPO will continue upgrading VOOC, SuperVOOC and Wireless VOOC to meet user needs in various scenarios.”
65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0
This Fast charge technology will make its debut with the OPPO’s upcoming Reno Ace. Being one of the most advanced charging solutions, this technology can charge a 4000mAh battery in just 30 minutes. Due to incredible hardware, software, and algorithms customizations this new technology has taken charging efficiency to a whole new level. It is also backward compatible with SuperVOOC and VOOC Flash Charge.
There have been changes in the design, manufacturing, and advancement of components to improve charging efficiency, following the footsteps of previous generation Flash Charge technology by OPPO. the ability to suppress heat generation adds to the incredible charging experience. OPPO SuperVOOC 2.0 also adopted the Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors, which effectively shortens charging time and further reduces adapter size. Moreover, OPPO has taken care of the safety by adding five safety protection measures in the adapter, wire, and handset.
30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge
Just as the world was looking for the best wireless charging technology, OPPO took the opportunity and introduced the 30W Wireless VOOC. this technology is on par with the wired VOOC in terms of charging speed. It has been designed to cater to all charging scenarios that users encounter. The wireless technology can juice up a 4000mAh battery in just 80 minutes. It has support for a charging power of 5W or 10W as well as compatibility with QI standard.
OPPO has also enhanced safety by integrated hardware designs that avoid overheating, HVDC and a foreign object detection function that ensures charging stops instantly in case of an intrusion by a metal object.
VOOC Flash Charge 4.0
The VOOC flash charge 4.0 has gone a full upgrade. This technology will be featured in the OPPO K5. OPPO built this with the aim of making it the next-generation Flash Charge solution for all. The VOOC 4.0 enables a 4000mAh battery to be charged to 67% in 30 minutes and 100% in 73 minutes, which is 12% faster than the previous generation. Moreover, a further optimized VFC algorithm enables it to reduce the charging time for the last 10%. OPPO has also tweaked some internals to suppress the heat through an advanced battery cell and adapter design. It can be compatible with all Flash Charge protocols prior to VOOC 3.0 and can achieve full load charging power of 5V4A (20W).
