About The Film:

Load Wedding is the sweet story of a young man named Raja (Fahad Mustafa) who falls in love with Meeru (Mehwish Hayat). What makes it an important Women’s Day watch is Meeru’s character. She’s got a past and struggles with a taboo. This makes it all the more important that Raja doesn’t care about any of that. He is in love with her regardless. And he just wants to marry her. It’s also important that Meeru is a polio-worker and earns a decent living through that work. The film also deals with the stigma and the pressure associated with dowry. Dowry is a practice that contributes to gender discrimination for women in our society.

For these reasons and a whole lot more Load Wedding should definitely be a must-watch in the cinemas for Women’s Day!
