Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 13 Review:

The biggest conversation in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 13 is now towards gender and the heteronormative rules that surround marriage and expected behavior.

Bhola is taught by his friends and his mother has the same expectations from her daughter in law that she would subscribe to the gender roles.

While Noori knows that she has to do as she’s told and does attempt to work around the house, she also cannot bring herself to love or treat Bhola like a ‘normal’ husband.

She’s already in love with someone else and Bhola isn’t easy to accept.

Bhola’s two friends Dar and Shafiq are also the very definitions of how alpha males tend to behave in our society and are never called out.

Noori also has a moment with Amma Jannatay as she finds out that her own family has run away to save themselves from Shoka.

Amma Jannatay is also worried to see Noori like this – but this we can assume she must have already expected?

The performances in this episode are top notch as always. Iqra Aziz, Zaib Rehman, Asma Abbas and Imran Ashraf are consistently a treat to watch.
