Kindly accept my deepest and most sincere apologies for being late in writing this blog. It should have happened a lot earlier but better late than never. I am unsure if I mentioned or not that I moved to Sydney almost two months ago (seems like a lifetime already). Before moving here I had already decided that I would take almost a month off and explore this beautiful city(as much as possible). However, since most of my time is me time I do not have many friends around. Thanks to my friend Sarah who visited me over Christmas from Brisbane and together we explored the city as much as we could. No one’s visit to Sydney is complete without a beach trip and for us it was Balmoral Beach.
One of the greatest perks of living in Sydney is an active beach life. Although Bondi and Manly are the most famous beaches, many are still not visited regularly. Sarah and I wanted to visit Mosman as suggested by a friend but who knew we would come across this heaven on earth. Yes, we were there by 7am in the morning as we wanted to escape the day heat as much as we could (Sydney sun can be pretty ruthless, tbh).
Upon missing our required stop we decided to explore the area on foot. O Mosman, you beauty! This place literally felt like walking through the dream. Beautiful Australian houses on the contoured site that presented One thing that I know for sure is that I would want to retire here.
Maybe I am a newbie but I found Balmoral a lot more relaxing than the rest of the beaches I have been to.
These are some pretty rocks, like really pretty. Perfect to have pictures when you sit on them, the background looks amazing. No? Great backdrop, guys.
I am yet to explore the food options here. The Bathers’ Pavilion is one of the oldest places here but crosses over 120 AUD for the food that might not even amuse you much. Hence despite entering the building, we chose to walk out of it with our heads sunk in the necks. However, the building is spectacular and has historic importance as well.
Hence we ended up have our Greek yogurt with berry compote at The Beach House. Really, really pretty I must say! Make sure that your back is towards the reception because only in that case you will be able to see the expansive Balmoral wonderland right in front of you.
My new year resolution is to visit Balmoral Beach as often as possible. Hope I can never have enough of it đŸ™‚
P.s. Apologies for my effectively unpleasant photography. Because copyrights. Seeing this beautiful place with your eyes is a bigger experience than seeing through my phone else.
