Over Black Friday weekend, there are going to be thousands of deals offered by huge brands tempting you to part with your hard-earned cash. One that has caught our eye is from Huawei, the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer. The Huawei MateBook X Pro which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year in Barcelona, Spain and is causing quite a stir amongst the media and gadget enthusiasts since its release in September 2018. Here is why.
It’s Lightweight
This device is ideal with those who carry their notebooks around with them and rely on them for everything. It’s ultra-slim, measuring up at 14.6mm thin and it weighs just 1.33kg which means that although it has the power and functionality of a PC, it’s nowhere near as bulky. This is a device that might appeal to travellers and commuters alike.
The Sound System and Screen
The Huawei MateBook X Pro also features an enviable sound system that will appeal to many. They have collaborated with household name, Dolby, to provide a powerful quad-speaker system that utilises the Dolby ATMOS Sound System. This offers users an immersive, high-quality sound that is a great choice for watching movies and listening to music. The Huawei MateBook X Pro also has a 13.9-inch sized screen with a 3K 10-point touch screen and a FullView display. It has a 91% screen-to-body ratio and 4.4mm narrow bezels too.
The Durability
This notebook has an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U or i5-8250U processor, a powerful 57.4Wh battery and discrete graphics NVIDIA®GeForce® MX150 with 2GB GDDR5. The battery makes it a great choice for extended use.

The question is, will the price cuts on Black Friday be enough to tempt people to buy this notebook computer? I don’t think I’m any different from most other consumers and I do sometimes wait for price cuts, both on Black Friday and on Boxing Day before purchasing items for myself and as presents. However, I personally hope for a bit more than £100. However, if you’ve had your eye on this since the unveiling earlier this year, this is going to be a great deal for you.
