Rules of Friendship as told by Andaz Apna Apna | Salman Khan | Aamir Khan

Remember how in our last post we talked about how #AndazApnaApna is a cult classic?

Well, it is and it will forever be!

As an homage to this classic film we’ll be doing a series of posts. In these posts we will be exploring not only how this film has cult status but also how there are some amazing life lessons to learn from this film. And this week’s lesson – is friendship!

Sidenote: This is also a public service post for brand new millenials who don’t understand what’s so great about Andaz Apna Apna.

Picking up from where we left off:

The story is of two delusional young men Amar and Prem (played hilariously by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan) who have set out to marry a billionaire heiress from London who has come to India to get married.

In this reminiscent post of Andaz Apna Apna, we’ll take you back to how Amar and Prem fought over stuff that became the stuff of legends.

Step 1:

Do dost aik pyaali main chai piyen ge! Translation: hoodwink your friend into thinking that you’re sharing food but you’re really making them pay for it.

Step 2:

Let him take a sip. To make it seem convincing.

Step 3:

Let him pay and drink the whole thing yourself while the poor schmuck is actually paying for it.

But all good things come to an end.

This ‘golden era’ of friendship comes to a violent end when Amar and Prem realize that they’re both vying for the same woman. Billionaress Raveena Bajaj from London.

Bros before …?

Phadda phadda phadda:

And that’s the way you get out of one:

Oh it doesn’t end here. The tale is still ongoing and be sure to come back for more reasons why Andaz Apna Apna is one comedy we won’t be forgetting any time soon!
