Sirin Labs To Offer Crypto Phone Soon

Smartphones and their apps have a large role to play for cryptocurrency platforms and now there are phones being modelled for crypto transactions as well. New crypto-currencies appear every day, in addition to basic and well-known, there are new crypto-currencies such as neo, Eos quantum that seek to take their place in the market and claim for a part of capitalization. That is what Sirin Labs is planning to launch in the near future. The upcoming phone that the company has been planning would have a separate screen that would handle crypto transactions in a dedicated manner. This phone will have connections made ultra secure which will enable cryptocurrency payments and deposits to be made and received in a secure manner. It is set to be launched by Sirin Labs by November; this company is the same entity that launched Solarin which is a privacy phone priced at $14000.

Solarin was introduced before as a smartphone that is ultra secure, but also highly expensive by the same company and now they are about to debut Finney that will be launched in November 2018 as a phone based on crypto technology. Today cryptocurrency exchanges are frequently tracked by enthusiasts in the market of virtual currencies.

Among its unique features would be a safe screen that can be accessed by a slider as was found in older phone models of Nokia. Users can slide up the backplane of the phone to access the secure display separately. This can be used to make transactions with cryptocurrencies. This is a feature being introduced just in time as security concerns remain high among those who invest in crypto trade, especially due to hacking incidents that occur. The phone will have a firmware that is dedicated to the phone. Users would be asked to review the destination they choose before they send across crypto payments.

Sirin Labs introduces Finney to help simplify the crypto transactions which are often complicated. The new phone model would use the software as used in Solarin, about 80 percent of it, which would include a cold wallet for cryptocurrency storage, a dApp which is a decentralized app store as well as a system for token conversion.

As the safe screen is opened it will set the crypto wallet active. This works with a microcontroller that is a separate unit. The screen, when closed, would lead to the shutting down of the wallet and disconnect the same from internet connectivity.

The specifications of the smartphone would also include all the standard features that the current models have besides functioning as a cryptocurrency phone. Average users who wish to use the normal smartphone features will also find this phone functional in such ways. The phone works with Snapdragon processor 845 and fitted with 6 GB RAM. The safe screen is two inches while the main screen is about 6 inches. The back camera is of 12 megapixels and a single lens while the front-facing camera comes with a lens of 8 megapixels.

Sirin Labs revealed that they would be partnering with Foxconn to manufacture this phone which would offer the cryptophone for a price tag of $1000.
