Will Technology Change The Future Of Fashion?

Fashion has always been a major part of our society, ever since the very first fashion show all the way up to the most recent London Fashion week, styles have come and gone whilst advancing and developing alongside the rise of technology.

The most obvious type of ‘wearable technology’ has to be a smartwatch. There are so many available nowadays that it has become somewhat of a regular appearance on the catwalk and the high-street. The future of fashion has yet to be discovered but it is clear that technology is advancing and inspiring fashion with each new development. Here are some examples of times when high-tech met high fashion:

iWatch

The iWatch or smart watch as it is so commonly called, is a digital watch that displays the time on a flat screen digital display unit. According to Apple, you can use the Apple Watch to track your daily activity, control your music using your own voice and pay for groceries with your watch. It is described as having essential features and information that ‘are always just a raise of the wrist away.’

Wearable tech has become a clear fashion statement in recent years and the smart watch seems to be the king of the tech wear era. However, many people still prefer traditional watches as opposed to smart watches. The main reason for this is due to the fact that companies, such as www.ticwatches.co.uk, provide an extensive range of watches with styles that suit everyone. So, whereas the Apple Watch only speaks to a certain audience, traditional watches tend to come in such a large variety that finding the perfect one for you should take no time at all.

Google Glass

This head mounted display was developed using a small-market ubiquitous computer. Similar to a smart phone, Google Glass also displays data electronically in a hands-free format. It features a touchpad that users control by swiping through a kind of time-line format interface, which will be displayed on the screen.

They can view things like photos, phone calls, weather and circle updates. The camera that comes with Google Glass takes 720p HD videos and photographs. Despite the obvious appeal of having ‘magic glasses’, not many people can access the Google Glass because of the expenses that come with owning one, which reduces the concept of cost efficiency for the majority of consumers.

Thync Devices

This type of electronic device, according to The Guardian, can make you feel relaxed or energised however you please, as it claims to be a ‘mood-altering wearable’. It has a simple look to it and is strapped to a person’s head. It uses neuroscience to safely stimulate nerves in your head using electric pulses, which can then work with the mind and body to activate certain responses that the wearer can feel and then use.

However, it is quite expensive and it doesn’t seem to be a very pleasant accessory that you could use on a daily basis but it may come in handy when you need an extra boost to help reduce stress levels.
