Four Android Apps to change your day

You would not want to live in a world without apps. They have made our lives all the better.

Regardless of the time of day, we can gain access to the latest news stories. Regardless of the time of day, we can Dub Smash our favourite passage of Rocky over a video of ourselves mucking around. Regardless of the time of day, we can order food. Apps mean that we can disregard time.

We strive to make our lives easier. The creation of applications and smartphones not only achieved this but they also made our lives all the more fun.

However, it is not all good news when it comes to apps. Frankly, there are just too many of them, most of which have little-to-no practical use whatsoever.

With a saturating market, it should become a lot harder to find the best-suited app for you. Nobody can be bothered to sift through the constant stream of rubbish to get to the golden egg.

So, we have tried to give you a helping hand. Below are four apps that will change your day.

 Betting App

It may sound silly but a betting app is a great tool to have on your phone. For one, it is usually quicker to find upcoming fixtures of any given sport on a betting app than on the standalone Sky Sports and BBC Sports applications.

What makes a betting app a good download is that it opens up numerous different avenues to you. Customers gain access into the sports domain and can watch horse racing and soccer amongst other things. With the Grand National just around the corner, it makes sense to get to grips with a betting app before you decide on whether you are going to back Ruby Walsh or AP McCoy at Aintree.

 TouchPal Keyboard

For those of us who are social media addicts, you will be salivating at the thought of the TouchPal Keyboard. This on-screen app allows the user to use swipe-style text, something that you can already do on Samsung Phones. For those with HTC and Sony etc. who love keeping in touch with friends via Facebook messenger, the TouchPal Keyboard has just made planning your Saturday night a lot easier.

 OKCupid

Everyone became familiar with Tinder last year. The sheer popularity of the swiping left or right phenomenon was nuts. People of all ages were sitting down on their phones and choosing whether they would date said people. In fairness to Tinder, a lot of dates did occur because of it. However, a criticism of the app is that it is rather childish and ever-so-slightly cruel. OKCupid is far more grown up than Tinder but still focuses on similar core components to their rivals, allowing users to interact with people of similar interests in the local area. That is the best characteristic of Tinder. If you are looking for love in a more grown up environment rather than embarking in the playground antics of Tinder, then OKCupid is for you.

Radio is not dead but it is slowly creeping towards the cemetery. Spotify and YouTube are killing our old friend. If you are a fan of the unexpected nature of the radio, you will be beside yourself with excitement when you read in further detail about TuneIn Radio. All in all, the app gives you access to more than 70,000 radio stations from all over the world. If you want to listen to the big basketball game, you will be able to listen to it at TuneIn.
