First, a word on packaging!

I don’t often do this, but the box didn’t look like it had been treated very well when it got here. It came from Taiwan, so it had travelled a fair bit.

There was no packaging material inside, and nothing to prevent the box from knocking about. However, the insides seemed to be fairly okay.

And yes, it works, so I guess it didn’t break!

However, definitely a bit disappointed, as if had you wouldn’t be pleased if you had just spent some money on this.

Look and feel

Once out of the box, there isn’t much to it. You get your keyboard with a plug in USB cable, and once you plug it in, you’re good to go.

The base features non-slip feet, which is a good touch.

The keyboard itself features illuminated keyboard, so you should be able to see it even when you are gaming in the dark, which is useful too.

Drivers

The keyboard doesn’t come with any drivers, but you can find them via the website:

The drivers download in RAR format, which Windows doesn’t support, but you can download a free compression program such as 7-ZIP to let you deal with that.

Once installed, you’re good to go and adjust macros and keyboard settings such as back light as you want.

Feel the keys

Mechanical keyboards definitely feel very different from regular keyboards, and the clue is in the title.

Generally I use a wrist support with my keyboards, so the raised keys do feel a bit different, however, most mechanical keyboards are not really designed for typing, rather for whacking big monsters!

Gaming

For the purpose of gaming, this keyboard ticks the boxes. Features such as NKRO mean that you will never miss keys, so it should all work as well as you want it to.

512 KB of memory means that you can store a huge number of macros, and any key can be programmed. An instant switch between gaming mode and normal also ensures that this keyboard can be used for normal purposes. Best of all, you can store different profiles that will give you different macros for different games or different tactics.

US Keyboard

One thing that is definitely worth mentioning is the fact that this keyboard comes with a US Layout!
