Review and Giveaway (CLOSED): Inateck 4-Port 30W USB Family-Sized Desktop Charger

There are chargers, and then there are chargers. As the devices we use everyday are becoming more and more portable, the need to charge them, and all of them together, is becoming greater. Luckily, most devices these days can be charged using USB ports, and luckily, most computers come with one. However, the USB port found on a computer is limited to 0.5A for a USB 2.0 device, and 0.9A for a USB3.0 port. On the contrary, an iPad looks for 2.1A to charge, whereas most devices like a minimum of 1A. This means that when you plug your device into a typical USB, it takes ages to charge. Of course, most chargers come with a USB output too these days, but then you face the problem of running out of power ports, as well as having to buy loads and loads of chargers for all your devices.

The problems never end, do they?

Well, they do. Inateck have come up with a pretty neat and small solution which ticks most of the boxes that have presented themselves up there. The 4 Port 30W charger allows you to charge up to 4 devices at once, using up only a single socket on your mains supply. It packs in a power switch so you’re not wasting power when not in use, and more importantly, it provides up to 1.5A each on every port, which means most devices, as of now, can happily charge away when this is plugged in.

This includes the types of iPads as well as regular phones such as your iPhone, Galaxy S5, LG G3, or what not!

The best part is that this is tiny, and extremely light, which makes this an ideal travel companion as well. Instead of carrying my usual ‘universal’ charger, all I need now is this an adaptor for the mains lead.

All that is missing now, is the charging leads!
