Garmin unveil Eye Witness – Garmin’s NEW Dash Cam

Garmin Dash Cam 20

Have you ever wished you had something recording what was in front of you while you drove? Something to capture that it isn’t really your fault if caught in a conflict, or merely something where you could show someone something? Or just one of those days where there is a beautiful sunset in front of you, and you wish you had a camera? Garmin’s NEW Dash Cam, the Eye Witness, answers all of these requests by a simple device.

Featuring a 2.3 inch LCD Display,  it can be mounted on your dashboard and plugged into a power source instantly. A wide angle lens makes sure you capture the whole road.

It records on a continuous loop, so there is no need to worry about starting or stopping recording. A built in G-Sensor automatically detects if there has been an incident (aka a bump, a hit, etc.) and preserves the whole scene without you having to do anything.

It comes in two models, the Dash Cam 10 (£169.99), which allows you to pinpoint exact time and date of any incident, while the GPS enabled Dash Cam 20 (£199.99) gives you a precise location as well.

Both models feature integrated microphones, and you have the option to record sounds or not, and of course, this can be removed from the dashboard so you can take photos if needed.

Of course, the uses are many, from safeguarding yourself against road rage to keeping an eye on your teenage kids.
