Archos set to unveil a new array of connected devices come CES 2014 – Connected Home, Activity Tracker, Weather Station

Archos have slowly been making their name in the Android world, announcing some well received phones and tablets this year. However, that was just the start of the show from them, as they are about to unveil a load of devices that are about to connect your home, monitor the weather and monitor your activity and health.

In fact, we’ll let Archos show you what they are bringing to you with the video they have prepared.

 

The list of devices they are about to unveil include a weather station, home camera, activity tracker, blood pressure monitor, smartwatches and more. The devices will work and pair with both Android and iOS, and Archos promise a seamless integration with your devices.

The main hub for Archos’  connected home is either the Archos Smart Home App, or the custom designed Smart Home Tablet – which gives you a unique gateway that combines Android with multiple connected object.  The 7″ tablet gives users the ability to customize various actions based on different scenarios and triggers, such as turning lights on, recording video, etc.

 

The simple principle Archos are basing this all on is keeping everything small and with a sleek design, for example the camera is the size of a ping pong ball. It also uses Bluetooth Low Energy for a long lasting battery, easy set up and easy pairing.

The ecosystem of Connected Home Objects includes a mini cam, a motion ball, movement tag, weather tag and smart plug.

The Archos Weather Station provides both indoor and outdoor CO2 levels, humidity, temperature, atmospheric pressure and noise levels. A Weather Station app will showcase home and national weather information, while recording, tracking and graphing all data for historic comparison and analysis.

 

Archos Connected Self 

The app will serve as the main hub for all connected self devices, and will provide all the data for quick health assessment, display graphs to track activity over time and enable up to 8 users to set goals to increase motivation levels. The Connected Self products that will displayed at CES 2014 include:

Archos connected scale – recognizes 4 different users, measures body shape based on mass and height, tracks body fat mass and is equipped with onboard memory to prevent data loss between synchronizations.

Archos Activity Tracker

Archos Activity Tracker – tracks footsteps, calories burnt and automatically displays time when synced with a smartphone. Recharges using a USB connector, and lasts up to 7 days on a single charge.

 

ARCHOS Blood Pressure Monitor – Monitors blood pressure, and equipped with memory for over 40 different measurements that display heart beat information.
