iPhone 5C – Be unique

Today the iPhones 5S and 5C have been unleashed onto the public. A lot of people have queued to get their hands on both the 5S and its younger brother, the 5C.

While most people will tell you that they really want the iPhone 5S, it begged the question about who the iPhone 5C was really targeted at. Before this was announced, there were hopes that the iPhone 5C would be a more economical model, focused on those who simply cannot afford an iPhone. However, those ‘rumours’ were soon put to bed after the price structure of the phone was announced. True, the 5C is cheaper than the 5S, but not by enough to make you simply throw money at it.

So, this got me wondering. Who and what exactly is the 5C for? The specs are very similar to the now obsolete iPhone 5, and yet it gives you iOS7, an array of colours, and a beautiful assortment of accessories. However, the answer to the question is staring us all in our faces.

With the iPhone 5C, Apple are trying to get rid of the whole ‘sheep’ concept. Not only does the phone pack in unique colours, but you can also buy an assortment of different coloured cases direct from Apple as well, showing off their unique hole filled (Connect-4 anyone?) design. Yes, for once the iPhone is trying to let you be unique, straight out of the box, instead of having to  run to the loads of accessory makers.

Obviously, this doesn’t quite stop there. The array of accessories available for the iPhone 5C (and 5S) for that matter is huge, and as the days go on, the number will only increase.

So, does this tilt you a bit more towards the iPhone 5C, or would you rather get an iPhone 5S instead? Personally, I like the idea of both, though I haven’t quite gone out and got one for me yet.

The good news is, thanks to our friends Mobile Fun, you are in for a chance to win one:
