Bamboo Pad combines touchpad and stylus

Wacom CTH300_BambooPad_Family_CMYK_cutout.1Wacom have introduced the Bamboo Pad, which not only adds the ease of use of a touchpad, but also adds the precision of a stylus on the same hardware.

“Far from being just another touch pad on the market, the Bamboo Pad caters to the numerous individuals who want to use gestures for navigation. Ideal for adding personal signatures, drawing digitally or writing handwritten comments onto documents, the Bamboo Pad offers the typical experience of a pressure sensitive Wacom stylus”, Rüdiger Spohrer, Vice-President Marketing EMEA, points out.

The expertise from years of experience in touchpads and such interfaces allows Wacom to design a comfortable solution for long working hours. It offers more multi-touch gestures than any previous solution, and your regular mouse usage can now take sketches, signatures, or just hand drawn notes or scribbles. Windows 8 users can even download their free app for note taking as well as sketches.

The system is intelligent enough to know when you’re using gestures or when you’re using the stylus.

It comes in both a USB wired version, as well as a wireless version.Customers also have a choice of four colours. Any feel Bamboo stylus can be used with the Bamboo Pad.

The Bamboo Pad (USB version) is priced at £41.99 whilst the wireless version costs £59.99. Both products are available from today via Wacom eStore:  http://uk.shop.wacom.eu/products/bamboo-pad  or at various retailers.
