There are enough high-end Android phones to shake a stick at, and seemingly a lot of work is also going in presenting good value mid-range Android devices to consumers. LG have just announced the LG L1 II device, which will be available exclusively on Three.

It basically brings you all the features that LG already have established on their phones, such as Quick Memo and Safety Care.

“LG has a history of pushing the envelope when it comes to style and the Optimus L Series II builds on this heritage of design innovation,” said Andy Coughlin, of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The L1II is an exciting addition to the series and we are thrilled to be working together with Three to bring this handset to consumers.”

Optimus L1II Key Specifications:

• Chipset: 1GHz Single-Core (Qualcomm MSM7225AB)
• Memory: Up to 4GB eMMC / 512MB RAM
• Display: 3.0-inch QVGA LCD
• Camera: Rear 2.0MP
• OS: Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
• Battery: 1,540 mAh
• Size: 102.9 x 59.2 x 12.2 mm

Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three, said: “The LG Optimus L1 II is a great entry-level smartphone with some clever additional features that we think will attract a new audience and demonstrate the many benefits of using the mobile internet on Three, all at an affordable price.”

With clever features such as voice activated shutter, this does seem a very good entry level device for people who don’t want to give up a lot of money, but is the 3″ screen too small these days? We’ll have to see how well it does!
