Review: Booq’s Boa Courier 10” Bag

At a price of £83.29, I had my scepticism about the Boa Courier 10” Bag. After all, what is so special about this, which means it costs so much.

I can happily say that by sending me one of these, they have proven it wrong.

You get what you pay for.

Yes you do. With this one, it isn’t the finer details or the hidden lining somewhere deep inside or the hours of engineering which as a user you just won’t appreciate. This bag says ‘quality’ and ‘premium’ out loud. In fact it shouts and screams it. I had my doubts, and they were proven wrong.

Okay, so what is this anyway?

This is the 10” version of the Boa Courier range from Booq. It is designed to hold one of your tablets, among other notebooks and documents in a very comfortable pocket. With a shoulder strap and an additional strap to give you more support, this has a few things going for it.

You sound impressed. Why though?

Well, let us look at all of them, one step at a time.

First of all, it is made of water repellent nylon.

Secondly, it has a reflective lining all around the bag, so you are more visible in the dark.

At the back is a pocket for more stuff, and a detachable keychain so you know it is safe with you, but you don’t have to carry it around in your pockets.

Also, right there, is a concealed pocket for your mobile phone. It is designed for the newer, thinner designs, but works well on most.

Inside you have a padded cushion for your iPad and other tablets. In front, there are pockets for smaller items, as well as a compartment for other documents, and similar items.

In front is also a zipped pocket for more stuff.

The shoulder strap includes an extra looped section so you can hold this tight against your back instead of letting it dangle. This means you can squeeze into tight spaces such as trains or go on a bike ride.

But, I want more than just an iPad bag!

Okay, this does come in a 13” and a 15” flavours that cater for laptops of those sizes. And MacBooks.

Verdict:

I thought it was too pricey but I was proven wrong. Really nice and comfortable to carry, this bag has served me well for the couple of weeks I have tried it. If you like a quality product to go with your life style, this is definitely the bag to go for.
