Review: Nexus 7 desktop cradle and charger

By Becca

I always charge my Nexus 7 at home which is a bit annoying if my battery has drained on the way to work. Not that my battery drains very often, it lasts far longer than my other devices, particularly my phone but that’s a whole other post!

Anyway, having a desktop cradle/charger seemed like a good idea and this one does the job perfectly. It sits nicely on my desk, holds the tablet firmly in place without any room for manoeuvre or wobble and looks good. There’s plenty of support both on the front and the back so you can use the tablet happily without having to hold it firm at the same time.

It has a great angle so you can see the screen clearly and I have to confess that I was lazy in my lunch hour today and watched Nashville on it!

The cradle comes with a USB to Micro USB cable so I plugged it straight into my work Mac and it charged happily. No complicated set-up, just plug in and go.

Highly recommended, it may not have the snazzy Nexus branding on it but it does exactly what you need it to do. Good, solid quality and an absolute bargain at around $25.
